Join friends and neighbors on Sunday, November 13, 2011, 1 to 4 PM for our first annual open house tour, offering peeks into some great examples of Bella Vista's architectural diversity. The price is $15. Pick up your prepaid tickets or make same-day purchases at Fleisher Art Memorial, 719 Catharine Street, starting at 12:30pm the day of the event. 19 Homes Proposed for 800 Block of Christian There is an application requiring a zoning variance to build nineteen new row houses on the large lot on the 800 block of Christian St., which also touches 8th St. and Montrose St. The proposed houses would have one off-street parking space each, all accessed from a driveway running through the site between Christian and 8th Streets. The first of three houses would face Christian St. Eleven houses would face Montrose St. The remaining five houses would be completely internal to the site. The BVTW zoning committee held a preliminary meeting on an earlier version of this proposal, after which the development team modified the plans as shown here. BVTW will HOLD a second meeting on this application as part of our July 12 Zoning Committee meeting at 7:30pm in the Palumbo Recreation Center. A mock-up and schematic zoning plan of the proposal are available. The BVTW Zoning Committee welcomes your comments and feedback on this proposal, via email zoning@bvtw.org, and we encourage you to attend our July 12 meeting.
On Tuesday May 24, 2011 Bella Vista Town Watch held its annual meeting. The meeting consisted of presentations from each of BVTW's committees along with nominations of Officers and Directors. Here are the links to the committee reports: |
