Bella Vista's 2011 Block Clean-ups

City Year corps members and neighborhood volunteers gather at Palumbo Recreation Center during the 4th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup on April 2nd. The group helped clear 75 bags of debris and leaves from the rec center grounds, and also removed graffiti from its building exterior.

More Bella Vista's Block Cleanups, sponsored by Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee (PMBC), are set for April 30th, June 18 and August 6th. Two special fall cleanups, organized by BVTW Beautification Committee with PMBC's help, are slated for Nov. 12 and Dec. 10.
